NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Head coach of the 2025 CARIFTA Swim Team Travano McPhee said the team is still in a hard phase of training following the third week of intense practices.

On Saturday the team – some in New Providence and others in Grand Bahama, had two training sessions.

On Sunday, they worshipped at Epiphany Anglican Church in New Providence and Life Community Church in Grand Bahama.

I also asked McPhee about feedback on the swimmers practicing in Grand Bahama under the guidance of Assistant Coach Jasmine Gibson. He said that feedback has been good.

There are also 12 open water swimmers on the team. Coach Allan Murray is leading that crew.

And for McPhee, the goal hasn’t changed. The goal is to win.

Now team members in Grand Bahama also participated in a motorcade and pep rally on the island over the weekend. We’ll tell you more about that in another newscast.
