NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Many Bahamians are considering this year’s celebrations the first real Halloween season since the 2019 season, before the COVID-19 pandemic. Local fabrics and crafts store, Home Fabrics shares the trends they’ve noticed this season.

Party invitations, Halloween safety tips, and costumes flying off the shelves are all indications of how excited people are about this year’s spooky celebrations.

Sherman, Junior Manager at Home Fabrics, tells us shoppers of all ages flocked to the store in the last week, but there was one group in particular who really showed up. Toddlers and kiddies looking for their perfect fairy costume.

In fact, there was so much demand, the store often opened almost an hour early and stayed open late last week. But, Sherman tells us it’s more than just the parties and trick or treating inspiring excitement. Even schools have stepped up with their own versions of costumed events this season, with career costumes, like policemen nurses and more.
