NASSAU, BAHAMAS – In recent years, it has been the topic of discussion – the design of the national Christmas tree. And, this year, it’s no different. The tree’s designer dishes about what went into the final product.

For several years, the national Christmas tree has been a hot topic as many look forward to seeing the tree displayed in the heart of Downtown Nassau.

I spoke to lead designer, Linda Stubbs who says this is not her first time decorating the 30-foot tree.

She explains her thought process for this year’s public display.

But, the designer extraordinaire admits there were some challenges bringing her vision to life, ahead of the national tree lighting ceremony, having only received the tree two days prior to the event.

And, while many comments flooded social media about this year’s tree design, Stubbs is taking the criticism with a grain of salt.
