NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man was unanimously acquitted of murder and abetment to murder charges on the instruction of the trial judge.

Justice Renae McKay directed jurors to acquit 25-year-old Anton Lodimus after she reviewed the evidence presented against him at his trial.

Lodimus was accused of fatally shooting 40-year-old Elroy Burrows outside of a bar on Mackey Street on March 19, 2019.

Burrows was buying a drink when he was gunned down. On the other hand, the jury will determine the fate of Lodimus’ brother, Dwayne Lodimus, on Thursday for the same crime.
