The Valley Boys Has Been Registered By Brian Adderley To Rush On Bay

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Valley Boys Junkanoo group controversy now center stage once again, as some ask which faction of the split group has the right to use the Valley Boys name.

The Valley Boys drama once again reigniting after a local media house reported the Registrar General’s office allegedly ordered that the “World-Famous Valley Boys” group led by Brian Adderley drop it’s name.

But is it true? Junkanoo Corporation of New Providence Chairman Dion Miller says they’re more concerned will be will head to Bay for the two major parades.

This is the latest controversy to rock the major Junkanoo group since a split formed.

Back in May, a statement was issued by a group that said a “Way Forward Committee” had been formed and that Trevor Davis had been appointed as interim chair for the organization with a goal of elections next year.

Shortly afterward, an official statement was released by the Valley Boys saying there had been no change in leadership and that Brian Adderley was still the group’s chairman.

On both Labor day and Independence, both factions of the group showed up to Bay to rush.

With the latest drama, the leader of “The Way Forward” group is now questioning the grounds on which Adderley’s group is registered.

As for how Adderley’s World-Famous Valley Boys feel about the current drama. They insist they’re focused on making it to Bay.
