HAITI – Amid escalating gang violence in Haiti, families seek refuge in makeshift camps. Lycee Fimem, a school on the outskirts of Port-Au-Prince, now houses displaced families, who fled after gangs torched their homes.

A temporary presidential council aims to restore peace and organize elections by 2026. 

However, the situation remains dire, with un reports showing a death every hour from gang violence. Former Prime Minister Ariel Henry’s resignation marked a pivotal moment, but challenges persist in curbing the violence plaguing Haiti.
