NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two men from Harbour Island are behind bars after being accused of sex crimes against children on the island. 

Prosecutors say 39-year-old William Lewis and 25-year-old Alonzo Pinder had unlawful sexual intercourse with two different 15-year-old girls.

Lewis is accused of having sex with a teenage girl on August 15th and 29th while Pinder is accused of having sex with an underage girl between June and July of 2023.

Neither girl could legally consent to the sexual acts because they’re under 16.

Lewis and Pinder didn’t have to plead to the charges when they appeared before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans.Bail was denied and the men next return to court on January 25, 2024 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
