Junkanoo Bleachers Setup Begins

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The countdown is on for the return of Junkanoo to Bay. One of the signature indicators the time is nigh is the erection of the bleachers in the downtown district.

From Fredrick Street to East Street and everything in between, bleachers are being erected for Junkanoo’s return.

Crispin Cleare, Managing Director of C Cubed Seating, says preparations got off to a bit of a late start, but the main goal is to create as little disruption as possible.

On Bay Street alone, seating will be provided for some 9,000 spectators.

In previous years, Boxing Day has always been a sold-out event while New Year’s Day sales were slightly under, but, after a two-year hiatus, he believes tickets will go rather quickly.
