NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Kentario McKenzie has always dreamed of being on the stage, and that’s just where he was when he won the Arts & Culture and Minister’s Cup Award at this year’s National Youth Awards Ceremony held at UB’s Performing Arts Center.

He has spent the better part of the last ten years in the world of the arts, and he knew what he wanted his final destination to be, even though he was unsure about the path.

Kentario says he ended up at the Dundas Centre for Performing Arts, and this is where his dream began to unfold.

Since then, he has continued to put all his efforts into pursuing his career in the arts, even stepping behind the lens and co-creating and directing the comedic series Broke Bosses, which airs on Our TV.

Now a student at UB, he says graduating is the top priority. Still, he embraces opportunities like an upcoming role in an Atlantis show dubbed Junkanoo in Paradise while continually growing his videography business and other ventures.

He says the hard work is worth it, even though it takes time to reap the rewards.
