NASSAU, BAHAMAS – She made history in 2021 as the first Bahamian to place in the top 10 in the Miss Universe pageant. But, that’s not where her story ends. The former pageant queen turned consultant, Chantel O’Brian, shares what life after the crown has been like.

Chantel O’Brian’s pageant journey began in 2013 when she captured 1st runner up in her first pageant. From there, she never looked back. In 2018 she represented The Bahamas in China under the Miss World Bahamas banner. It was that same year she founded P.S. O’Brian consulting.

In 2021, O’Brian returned to the stage. She relives that history making moment when she placed top 10 at the Miss Universe pageant.

O’Brian says her passion is empowering young people through youth development initiatives. To this end, she also cofounded the “Leading Ladies Project”

Aside from physical beauty, she believes mental health awareness in the pageant world should also be considered.

Here’s her take on the future of pageantry in the country.

And, as for Chantel the entrepreneur, she says there is also something in the pipeline. She simply allows God to order her high heeled footsteps.
