MEXICO – The move to eliminate the time changes has been in force for more than two decades. Mexico’s Senate approved the bill Wednesday putting an end to the practice of changing clocks twice a year.

Some cities and towns along the U.S. border can retain daylight savings time presumably because they are also linked to U.S. Cities.

The law goes into effect Sunday when Mexico is scheduled to turn clocks back for the last time.
