GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – When Our News last spoke to General Manager of Pelican Bay Magnus Alnebeck, he mentioned that after hurricane Dorian and the pandemic, the hotel was getting a much needed facelift.

This week, the renovated rooms were officially opened. The public was excited to get a first-look at the new spaces.

General Manager, Magnus Alnebeck, offered a detailed list of the hotels contractors and urged the government to remember Grand Bahamians in the hiring process as more projects move in.

Alnebeck says $4 million dollars was invested in the renovation of the 48 rooms that needed a facelift.

Half of the newly renovated rooms are designed to be extended-stay rooms.

And, the minister isn’t the only one pleased with the progress, the business community is happy to see the turn toward revitalization.
