Taxi Driver Jailed for Knife Attack for One Month

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 41-year-old taxi driver who pulled a knife on a dispatcher at the Lynden Pindling International Airport has been jailed for a month.

Sylvano Kemp received the sentence after he pleaded guilty to unlawfully carrying arms at his arraignment before Acting Magistrate Anishka Pennerman.

On July 12, Kemp got into a heated exchange with dispatcher Gary Bain while outside of the international departure lounge and pulled a knife on him

Police intervened and arrested Kemp.

Video of the incident went viral on social media.
