GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A 32-year-old American tourist has been fined after cocaine was found in his cruse ship cabin.

Adam Migliore, of Florida, a passenger on the Margaritaville cruise ship, pleaded guilty to possession of dangerous drugs at his arraignment before Senior Magistrate Laquay Laing.

He was fined $1,500 and will face a six-month prison sentence for nonpayment.

Grand Bahama police were investigating the sudden death of Magliore’s 27-year-old American girlfriend on Monday when they found the cocaine in his luggage.

She died in their stateroom as the ship made its way to Grand Bahama.

The cause of the girlfriend’s death remains unknown.
