GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – It was a video that made it’s rounds on social media earlier this week showing students of Eight Mile Rock High School, along with Principal Albert Jones and a police officer involved in a major fight just outside the school’s campus.

Jones told Our News things escalated after school hours, prompting him and the officer to intervene in an attempt to halt the fight.

According to Jones, the officer involved had to receive immediate medical attention.

When asked about the recurring issue of violence on school campuses nationwide, jones acknowledged existing problems among students in the West Grand Bahama community.

And with that viral video still making the rounds, Jones says he’s disappointed in the actions of the students.

As for parental involvement, Jones say the school is implementing some changes and improvements to its protocols.
