NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Shot spotter technology alerting police to an incident on Lily of The Valley Corner Thursday after a woman was shot and a two-year-old boy seriously injured.

The incident took a shocking turn as Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings says the victims managed to drive to a nearby police station.

The front of that station was splattered with blood grim evidence of the tragedy.

Skippings could not confirm the age of the victim nor the relation to the 2-year-old toddler.

With the rising murder count, concerned residents are demanding increased efforts to curb gun violence.

Chief Superintendent Skippings issued a plea to all Bahamians, urging individuals from every walk of life to actively participate in the collective fight against crime.

And for those that are now living in a heightened state of fear amidst the escalating killings, Skippings had this to say.
