GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Advertising on Grand Bahama getting a boost in technology as the Grand Bahama Port Authority, along with a local entrepreneur, unveiled the island’s first digital billboard.

Grand Bahamians have long been familiar with traditional, plywood advertisements placed on various verges and round-abouts throughout the island.

Well, the Grand Bahama Port Authority has partnered with four entrepreneurs to erect digital billboards at four locations.

Business Development and Marketing Officer, Trevor Simmons, notes that some 12 persons expressed interest in working with the port authority. He says creativity and originality were key factors in selecting the final four businesses.

Proprietor of Extri-Ad, Teia Canter-Davis says she actually submitted her business idea to the port authority on two previous occasions, but was denied. She says she is grateful to now be the first business to erect a digital billboard.

McIntosh explains the process to have your ads placed on one of the digital billboards.
