NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 40-year-old man is facing a stealing by reason of service charge after he allegedly failed to deliver a vehicle he was paid to purchase and ship to The Bahamas.

Prosecutors allege Nadia Johnson paid Renaldo Cartwright a total of 14,200 dollars in three instalments between December 2024 and March 2025.

But prosecutors say more than a year later, Johnson has still not received the vehicle.

Cartwright denied the charge when he appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Kara Turnquest-Deveaux.

He was granted 5,000 dollars bail and is due back in court for trial in November.
