GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – More demolitions, restorations, and transitional-housing projects are on the way for Grand Bahama according to that island’s minister.

The dilapidated and condemned Freeport Garden Resort was demolished last week, and although it had been condemned, it wasn’t vacant.

This led many to wonder, what would become of the people who had made that building their home?

Minister for Grand Bahama, Ginger Moxey, tells us those people now have temporary homes in the newly renovated Tripp Circle.

Tripp Circle, also known as Restoration Village One, began clean-up efforts for renovations early last year in preparation for becoming the home of a halfway-housing project. And Moxey says the work doesn’t stop there.
