FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS – It was a stunner in Fayetteville as the University of Mississippi Rebels Women’s basketball team, led by Bahamian Head Coach Yolett McPhee McCuin, overcame a 19-point deficit to beat the Arkansas Razorbacks 76-73 in overtime.

The Rebels were down 39-20 in the first half, their biggest deficit of the game, but they scratched and clawed to get back in the game, entering the 4th quarter down 9.

They would hold a brief lead in the 4th quarter before Arkansas regained it. Tyia Singleton would make the layup at the end of regulation to force overtime where they would eventually pull away.

Senior guard Marquisha Davis led the team with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Madison Scott went to work on the glass grabbing 12 rebounds to go along with her 14 points.

The win takes Ole Miss to 18-4 on the season and 7-2 in the conference. The vaunted Tennessee Vols are up next for them on Thursday night.
