It’s Going To Have A Catastrophic Effect, Says Environmentalist
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Major corporations and environmental organizations are raising concerns regarding the development of a multi-million dollar beach club.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Major corporations, environmental organizations and every day citizens raising concerns regarding the multi-million dollar beach club to be developed on Paradise Island by Royal Caribbean International.
While the project is subject to submission and approval of a standard environmental impact assessment, many are already predicting that the long term impacts will not bode well.
Executive Chairman of Save The Bays Joe Darville says that if this project is to move forward, he hopes environmentalists monitor the future impacts yearly.
Another concern was the acquisition of crown land, which the Davis administration says will not be included.
However, Darville still raised this concern as it relates to the sale of Bahamian land by successive governments.
