More Education Needed On Sand Dollar, Says CB Governor

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Since its launch in 2020, the adoption of the Central Bank’s digital version of the Bahamian dollar – Sand Dollar, has been relatively low. Which is why Central Bank Governor John Rolle says their focus is to continue public education to explain the benefits of using the digital currency.

And, he says a lot of this work is happening now.
