Multi-agency Walk-about Seeks to Address the Needs of Residents

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – From the fear of crime to a myriad of concerns in the community – ACP Shanta Knowles, as the officer in charge of the Northern Bahamas, is trying to address the concerns of Pinder’s Point residents by getting other agencies involved.
The police force is also partnering with the Department of Immigration, and Urban Renewal. Senator Kirkland Russell says residents were grateful to have their concerns heard.
Defense Force Officer Darrol Jones says he looks forward to continued proactive initiatives to keep statistics low.
The National L.E.A.D. Institute was founded recently in an effort to provide programs and services to at risk youth.
