GRENADA – The Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) announced it will pay $44 million U.S. dollars to Grenada following the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl on July 1st.

This marks CCRIF’s largest single payout yet.

The category 4 storm severely impacted Carriacou, Petite Martinique, and union island in St. Vincent and The Grenadines.

The payout, reportedly based on CCRIFs parametric insurance policies, reflects the extensive damage to buildings, agriculture, and utilities on these islands.
