NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A local artist is looking to break through negative news, with love and happiness. Jerome Harris Miller is debuting his “Colors Of Celebration” 2022 art exhibit.

Miller says it is now party time, and he wants to help us forget the dark days of the pandemic with the bright kaleidoscope of colors on display at his show.

Our Jean Joseph has more.

Bahamian visual artist Jerome Harris Miller wants to make you feel good with an assortment of eye candy at his ongoing art show – Colors of celebration – it’s party time.

The show is a diverse mix of scenes representing Bahamian culture and the experiences Miller has amassed throughout his years here and in Europe, Canada, and the United States.

You can get a glimpse of it until Sunday night at Christ church cathedral hall, George street.

Miller has refined his style as a fashion designer and stylist throughout his career.

Still, he gives credit to Mrs. Joan Bethel for uncovering his talent and cites Dame Margueritte Pindling, Gail Saunders, and her late husband Winston Saunders for encouraging his passion through the years.

While the finished products are wonderful to look at, Miller says it requires a strong commitment from the initial brush stroke to an entire show, but in the end, it is gratifying once the public enjoys the offering.

Miller’s pieces are on sale, and the proceeds allow him to continue the philanthropic work that he began with his first show in 2006.

Miller sows seeds in budding artisans’ lives through a scholarship available to University of The Bahamas Art students in honor of the Late Winston Saunders.

If you miss the show, you can still contact Miller directly by phone or online to purchase pieces, but you do not want to miss the visual and musical experience he has prepared for you.

That’s a look at the art scene this weekend. I’m Jean Joseph reporting for the For Our News Arts and Entertainment segment.
