NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Sunday night, the Way Forward Valley Boys were out fine-tuning their routines in preparation for the big event.

Potter’s Cay Dock came alive with the sounds of Junkanoo as the members of Way Forward Valley Boys gave their all during a practice run.

From booming drums to clanging cowbells, every note and step was meticulously perfected for their Bay Street debut.

Scores of supporters braved wind, rain, and cold to witness the energy and excitement.

Meanwhile, The Way Forward group, hard at work, embodying the essence of Junkanoo.

For them, it’s more than a parade–it’s a legacy. Herbert Bain is a longtime member.

And for members like Bain, the work never stops. Countless hours go into every detail, from costumes to music.

Section leaders Rashaun Cunningham and Ron Adderley says it’s all about giving the people what they deserve.

Beyond the performance, these members say Junkanoo is about community and heritage.

Cunningham, who is also a music teacher, shares his commitment to passing down knowledge to future generations.

Management committee member, Shane Albury, says the group’s hard work is about to pay off in a big way despite internal challenges.

Albury said that the Valley Boys are focused on moving forward.
