TRINIDAD & TOBAGO – The 23-girl gymnastics team representing The Bahamas made an impressive debut at the inaugural games, earning several medals and placing third overall. Trinidad & Tobago finished first, with Jamaica taking second.

The team secured four gold, five silver, and nine bronze medals. They also earned a team silver in levels three and six and a team bronze in level one. It marks a historic achievement as the first national gymnastics team in Bahamian history.

The team is expected to return to New Providence today.


Bahamians Shine in Sports

Frederick King made his first start of the season, playing 26 minutes and scoring 14 points with five rebounds to lead his Creighton Bluejays to an 80-76 victory over Notre Dame.

Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin and her University of Mississippi Rebels dominated Alabama State with an 89-24 blowout victory.

In the NBA, Buddy Hield scored 11 points off the bench, but his Golden State Warriors fell to the Phoenix Suns 113-105.
