NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Six members of the Opposition were suspended in the House of Assembly today.

House Speaker Patricia Devaux suspended Opposition Leader Michael Pintard, St. Barnabas MP Shanendon Cartwright, Leader of Opposition Business Adrian White, Long Island MP Adrian Gibson, East Grand Bahama MP Kwasi Thompson and Central Grand Bahama MP Iram Lewis for two sittings.

When the house met last Wednesday, those Opposition members were forcibly removed from the House of Assembly by police officers after Cartwright threw the mace out of the HOA’s second floor window.
