NASSAU, BAHAMAS – From bold prints to timeless Bahamian style, Bahama Hand Prints is celebrating 6 decades of fashion with a collection that’s as vibrant as the country it represents.

To commemorate its 60th anniversary, the company has designed 6 limited edition bags.

Bahama Hand Prints owner Alannah Van Onselen told us each bag was inspired by a different decade of Bahamian history.

Alannah Van Onselen – Owner, Bahama Hand Prints

“We created six bags, each representing a decade, so the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000, and 2010s. The bags sort of tell the story of the decade, represent prints that were designed in those decades, and the bags are sort of shapes that are reimagined for today.”

While totes have long been a staple of the brand, this collection takes things to a whole new level, offering customers an even more stylish, elevated way to wear a piece of Bahamian history.

“We felt that it had to be something special, it had to have a wow factor, and we have to sort of do a big ode to our 60th anniversary of representing The Bahamas in fashion and in colors and in our prints.”

Also, it wasn’t just about creating a beautiful bag, Every detail was carefully selected to reflect the stories, colors, and designs that have made Bahama Hand Prints a household name for generations.

Alannah Van Onselen – Owner, Bahama Hand Prints

“We put a lot of thought into the details, into the colors that we used, into the prints that we used that represented those actual decades. So they are fabulous, they are very wow, and they are definitely a step up from what we normally do, and we’re really proud of them.”
