Former National Security Minister’s Business Partner Facing Up to 11 Years Behind Bars

UNITED STATES – The business partner of former National Security Minister Marvin Dames faces between nine to 11 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Under the plea agreement, a second count of importation of a controlled substance was dismissed.

The U.S. Coast Guard arrested Goodman on February 11th after intercepting the 45-foot M/V Reel Xperience about four miles off Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

During a search, they found 200 kilos of cocaine in plain-view on board the vessel.

Prosecutors have recommended a sentence in the range of nine to 11 years. A sentencing date has not been set.

He’s being held at the Joseph V Conte Facility in Florida.
