Men Charged with 3 Rapes, Unlawful Sex with 9-Year-Old
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Two men are behind bars after being charged with three rapes in the Caravel Beach area on Grand Bahama. Police say the incidents happened between April and May of this year.
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Two men are behind bars after being charged with three rapes in the Caravel Beach area on Grand Bahama. Police say the incidents happened between April and May of this year.
One of the men was also charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a nine-year-old girl.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Theophilus Cunningham revealing as much today in a press briefing, saying the men who were charged on July 3rd are on remand at the Department of Corrections. The two are expected back in court in September.
While assuring the public that crime is at a manageable level on the island, the assistant commissioner saying tonight they continue to be concerned about the level of crime against women and vulnerable members of the society.
