Stuart Signs Minor League Deal With the Philadelphia Phillies

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Daunte Stuart has taken the next step toward his major league dream after signing a minor league agreement with the Philadelphia Phillies Organization.
Stuart earned the opportunity after a successful collegiate career at Northwestern State and Memphis, where he finished with more than 250 career hits, before continuing his journey in independent professional baseball.

UNITED STATES – Daunte Stuart has taken the next step toward his major league dream after signing a minor league agreement with the Philadelphia Phillies Organization.

Stuart earned the opportunity after a successful collegiate career at Northwestern State and Memphis, where he finished with more than 250 career hits, before continuing his journey in independent professional baseball.

The Bahamas senior national team member also represented the country in multiple Caribbean Baseball Cup tournaments.

After three productive seasons in the independent ranks, Stuart now gets his first opportunity inside a major league organization.

This season with the New Jersey Jackals, Stuart hit .363 with 6 home-runs, an OPS of .993 and 26 RBI.

BBBF Announces Coaching Staff for July Window

The Bahamas Basketball Federation has announced the remainder of the Senior Men’s National Team coaching staff for the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifying window.

New Head Coach Mikhail McLean will be joined by Associate Head Coach Lourawls Nairn, Assistants Charles Allen, Mychel Thompson and Nashad Mackey, along with Video Coordinator Willis Mackey.

The group will look to guide The Bahamas through a crucial qualifying window as the team continues its pursuit of a first-ever FIBA World Cup appearance here at home at the Kendal Isaacs Gym against Jamaica on July 3 and Puerto Rico on July 6.

Jones Leads Liberty to 7th Straight Win and Commissioner’s Cup Final

Former WNBA Finals MVP Jonquel Jones and the New York liberty are headed back to the Commissioner’s Cup Final.

Jones scored a team-high 20 points as the Liberty defeated the Washington Mystics 86-64 to secure the Eastern Conference’s spot in the championship game.

The victory extended New York’s winning streak to seven games – the longest active streak in the WNBA.

The 2024 champions continue to build momentum.
