CARIBBEAN & LATIN AMERICA – Latin America and the Caribbean could be the world’s slowest-growing region over the next two years, according to a new World Bank report.

Growth is forecast at just 2.1 percent in 2025 and 2.4 in 2026 as high debt, low investment, and global uncertainty drags the region down.

The bank is urging governments to rethink economic strategies, calling for bold reforms to boost jobs, competitiveness, and productivity, especially in trade, education, and infrastructure.

Despite some inflation control, The bank says fiscal deficits remain a concern.

It says slowing growth in China and global trade tensions aren’t helping the outlook.
