Survivors Arrive in Capital

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Our News team was on the ground here in New Providence as several helicopters transported those survivors into the nation’s capital for further medical assessments.

Shortly after 1:30pm, four ambulances arrived at Odyssey Aviation in anticipation of the survivors arriving on island.

Family members, consumed with concern, yet grateful that their loved ones had survived, also gathering at the airport.

Resident, Spence Finlayson, telling Our News that his 26-year-old daughter called him shortly after the plane crash.

He says while still panicked, seeing a photo of her alive and well circulating on social media, helped to somewhat put his mind at ease.

Minister of Public Works and Utilities, Alfred Sears, along with his wife, also anticipating the arrival of their daughter who survived the plane crash as well.

Now Deputy Director General in the Ministry of Tourism, Kenneth Romer, says that all of the survivors are now on island and have been transported to local hospitals for further medical attention.

Romer says investigations are ongoing as to what transpired.
