Woman Convicted Of Setting Up Witness Loses Bid To Have Case Reviewed

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A woman serving a 30-year sentence for setting up a witness against an alleged gang leader has lost a bid to have the Privy Council review her sentence.

Caryn Moss was convicted of conspiracy to murder O’Neil Marshall, who was also known as Yardy. Marshall was placed in the witness protection program after he agreed to testify in the abetment to murder case of the alleged gang leader.

Marshall was murdered between April 30, 2016 and May 1, 2016. His bullet-riddled and partially burned body was found in a car in the parking lot of the former City Market Food Store on Market Street.

Moss admitted that she picked up Marshall and parked the car through Yorkshire Street after being asked to set up Marshall by gang members. She left Marshall in the car, which had the child safety locks deployed, and the handles removed before she went to her godfather’s house on the pretext of using the phone.

While he was trapped in the car, gunmen riddled the vehicle with bullets.
