NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A woman is facing charges after prosecutors say she played a role in a shooting.

23-year-old Megan Taylor made her first court appearance before acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans, accused of abetting the attempted murders of her ex-boyfriend Shaquawn Bowe and his friend Mark Charite.

The charges stem from an April 28 shooting at Chapel Street.

Prosecutors allege that Taylor arranged to meet up with her ex and Charite, a bus driver, took him to the location on Chapel Street.

Soon after Bowe got off the bus to speak to Taylor, a gunman allegedly opened fire at him. He ran with the gunman in pursuit, and Charite was shot and wounded.

Taylor was not required to enter pleas to the charges and was denied bail.

She returns to court on September 17 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
