NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – Scenes from Clifford Park on Saturday night as thousands of supporters of the Progressive Liberal Party converged for a rally the party dubbed, a “Homecoming”.

The event featured a concert-style setup, complete with a massive stage measuring 25 feet in height and 60 by 40 feet in width and length.

On stage sat the PLP candidates along with a band prepared for the evening’s headliner, Phil Stubbs.

Incumbent for Nassau Village, Jamahl Strachan, just one of the candidates delivering remarks.

“Only one party has the plan to expand opportunities for young Bahamians and that’s the PLP.” – Jamahl Strachan

Party leader, Philip Davis, reaffirmed this statement while reflecting on the accomplishments of his administration.

“Like the first National Apprenticeship Program in this country’s history. The new BTVI campuses across the archipelego. The new polytechnic and PHA. The first National Youth Guard Program and the first Creative and Performing Arts School in The Bahamas.” – Prime Minister Philip Davis

Davis then stated their plans should they return to office.

“We’re expanding the rent to own program and we will prioritize essential workers. Meaning our nurses, our teachers, our police officers and our defense officers . That is why we are building new affordable housing across the family islands and partnering with the developers to deliver homes at scale.” – Prime Minister Philip Davis

“For too long we have watched some our brightest leave this country to get their education build their careers and never come back home because the opportunity was not here, because the path home was not clear. So we are not just educating young Bahamians we are building a country where people will stay.” – Prime Minister Philip Davis

Should the Progressive Liberal Party achieve success in the elections on Tuesday, they have stated their intention to return to Clifford Park to celebrate.
