NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A woman who intentionally rammed a SUV into a man after he broke up with her, causing him to lose his right leg has been jailed for 15 years.

25-year-old Antonice Clarke received the sentence after pleading guilty to the attempted murder of Matthew Griffin.

The charge stems from an incident that took place on April 10, 2024.

Clarke ran over Griffin on purpose after he told her it was over between them.

Thinking that she had killed Griffin, Clarke turned herself into the Carmichael road police station and was arrested.

Prosecutor Basil Cumberbatch had asked the court to impose a sentence between 18 and 30 years while her lawyer Calvin Seymour asked for five years in prison, plus probation.
