NASSAU, BAHAMAS – International day of Older Persons is celebrated on October 1st each year and for the third time, the Sandilands Rehabilitation Center Geriatric Hospital joined the United Nations in commemorating the day.

One of the initiatives put on by the health care facility, a display competition, depicting this year’s theme, “Resilience And Strength Of Older Women”.

Jennifer Munnings, a sister on Thompson ward, is the designer of the winning board. She made the presentation on Monday describing that her vision for the piece was to highlight Mother Pratt’s journey “From The Pitt, To The Palace” Mother Pratt calling it an honor.
