HOA To Form Select Committee For Embassy Audit

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Labour and Immigration Minister Keith Bell wants a select committee on the recent audit of The Bahamas Embassy in Brussels, Belgium.

Select committees are to review important government matters.

Once they have reported, the committees dissolves.

A recent audit for the period November 1st 2019 to July 7th recommends standards and policies for purchasing furniture for residences, embassies, and missions abroad.

The recommendation comes after $600,000 was spent to furnish the official residents in Brussels, Belgium.

Speaking in the House of Assembly Wednesday, Bell said the audit is lacking.
