NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Great Commission Ministries, the daily ministry which helps feed the less fortunate and the shelter homeless, is in need of your help to keep the good work going, as the country observes Great Commission Ministries Day.

Bishop Walter Hanchell and his ministry have been helping those in need for the past 35 years since November 1987.

In recent years, Bishop Hanchell has experienced health challenges having battled two types of cancer, but today he is alive and well, calling it a blessing to continue the work of his ministry.

Great Commission Ministries is responsible for feeding up to 500 people daily, as well as providing a place of rest for those who do not have a place to call home.

Bishop Hanchell says the demand for assistance has been much greater in recent years prompting his vision to build a new facility, but he says they need all hands on deck to get it started.
