CANADA – He may have been diagnosed with what many consider to be a disability, but this Bahamian student is defying the odds. He’s hoping to shed light on the disorder and how you can help persons living with cerebral palsy.
25-year-old, Antwaun Rolle was born with cerebral palsy, but the movement disorder has not stopped him from furthering his education.
The New Providence native is a third-year political science major studying on Prince Edward Island.
Rolle joined the Cerebral Palsy Association in Canada, which he says has been a big help living abroad. While he has been accepted among his peers, he believes there should be more awareness about living with CP.
He says when it comes to dealing with persons who are differently abled, education is key.
He adds that encouraging persons living with disabilities is equally important.
