BPSU Signs Industrial Agreement
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – After months of contentious negotiations, the government and the Bahamas Public Service Union finalizing a $40 million dollar industrial agreement, Monday.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – After months of contentious negotiations, the government and the Bahamas Public Service Union finalizing a $40 million dollar industrial agreement, Monday.
According to State Public Service Minister Pia Glover-Rolle, the agreement is retroactive to July 2022 and is valid until 2025.
Kimsley Ferguson, Bahamas Public Service Union president says the union is excited it finally got to this point.
Last week, Ferguson said he wasn’t satisfied with the contents of this agreement.
Glover-Rolle explains employees will get salary increases going from $11,450 to $13,520 per year in incremental payments.
Shift workers will also receive a shift premium.
