Sustainability First: Reducing Food Imports and Improving Food Security
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A study from the University of Sydney released last year found the greenhouse gas emissions caused by food transportation are up to seven times higher than previously estimated, finding that approximately three gigatons, that’s 3 billion tons, of emissions are released every year due to food transportation.
