NASSAU, BAHAMAS – After three years of renovations, Government House was officially blessed and rededicated this week.

The structure got a much-needed facelift, as contractors worked to preserve the historical features of the house but a popular figure was noticeably absent – the Christopher Columbus statue which was erected on steps at the property back in 1830.

You may recall back in October 2021 when a man was caught in a viral video publicly vandalizing the age-old structure with a sledgehammer.

Since then, the statue has been removed and placed in storage but the question is, will we see its return?
