NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A suspect has been identified for the death of another prisoner who died a few weeks ago. National Security Minister Wayne Munroe confirmed as much, adding the victim was mentally-challenged and suffered blunt force trauma.

He said this is one reason why the new correctional facility is so important.

The 59-year-old was on remand for vagrancy.

Munroe says the prison now has medical practitioners on duty at the prison.

He says the new facility will also have a mental health clinic and standard medical facility.
