T.A. Thompson Principal on Return to School

Despite the challenges faced at the public school for the first few days of classes, the Acting Principal of T.A. Thompson Junior High School is optimistic about the new school term.

Students at T.A. Thompson Junior High School making a smooth transition into the hybrid learning system. Acting principal, Ishmael Smith says the first week was used to ease students back into the classroom as well as update staff and students on important information.

A major concern for many is addressing the learning gap that may have occurred since the pandemic forced the closure of schools in March 2020.

Smith says so far, the transition has been going well but they have experienced minimal challenges.
