SAN SALVADOR, BAHAMAS – Air Canada touched down on San Salvador Tuesday afternoon bringing 100 visitors to the island.

The initiative is part of the official reopening of Club Med this week.

Island Administrator Francis Barr and other tourism officials were on the tarmac to greet guests as they arrived.

Barr calling the occasion gratifying.

We got a chance to speak to some of the visitors, many who have been to the southern island many times before.

It’s the island life  that keeps these retirees coming back.

Senior Tourism Official on the island Velda Knowles was also on site to greet the visitors.

Another flight is set to come in on Thursday with even more guests, this one from Paris.
