Ghanaian Nurses: We’ve Brought Our Experience To Help
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It is time for the country’s newest nurses to dawn their scrubs and get to work. The Ministry of Health and Wellness begun orientation for those new nurses out of Ghana along with three from the University of The Bahamas.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It is time for the country’s newest nurses to dawn their scrubs and get to work. The Ministry of Health and Wellness begun orientation for those new nurses out of Ghana along with three from the University of The Bahamas.
Director of Nursing Gina Dean says it is a step to solving an age-old problem.
A total of 18 nurses came from Ghana. Three have been assigned to Grand Bahama, nine to the Princess Margaret Hospital and six to the public healthcare system, with some to be assigned to the family islands. The agreement is expected to last for two years.
Permanent Secretary in the ministry Colin Higgs says he is expecting positive long-term benefits.
