NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man is facing an attempted murder charge after police say he pointed a gun at a man and pulled the trigger.

Police say the incident took place at the dock in Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera on December 10.

According to police, Janaldo Farrington’s gun malfunctioned enabling his intended target Shervin Emmanuel to disarm him and turn the .38 revolver over to police.

Farrington, 34, didn’t have to plead to charges of attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition when he stood before Acting Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.

Bail was denied and he’s back in court on April 18 for voluntary bill of indictment papers.
